Helping You Reconnect, Communicate, and Actually Like Each Other Again

You didn’t think your relationship would feel this hard.
You love each other, but lately, it feels like you’re stuck in a loop of distance, stress, or silence. You miss the connection, the fun, and the feeling of being on the same team.

Right now, you’re just trying to keep it all together. Careers, kids, laundry, logistics: and the relationship has taken a back seat. You’re starting to feel more like roommates than romantic partners.

Conversations feel tense or surface-level.
Little things lead to big fights or worse, long stretches of cold silence.
Sex is inconsistent (or nonexistent), and even when you try to reconnect, it doesn’t seem to land.

You're tired of pretending everything’s fine when it’s not.
And honestly? You’re scared of where this is headed if nothing changes.

Couples Therapy That Actually Helps You Make Real Changes

I help couples move from stuck, disconnected, and frustrated to connected, clear, and hopeful.

No blaming. No finger-pointing. No fluff. Just real, meaningful progress.

Hi! I’m Marina!

I’m a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist, and I work exclusively with couples. This isn’t just one thing I do: it’s the thing I do.

I specialize in helping motivated couples understand the patterns that keep them stuck, communicate more effectively, and rebuild intimacy emotionally, physically, and sexually.

My approach is grounded in the Developmental Model, which blends differentiation and attachment theory to help each partner grow as an individual and as part of a stronger relationship. I also draw from EFT, Gottman Method, and other evidence-based approaches depending on your needs.

I’m irreverent, direct, and full of analogies. I use humor and visuals to make complex ideas click.
I also believe therapy should be practical. You’ll get tools, insight, and homework that helps you apply what we talk about in real life.

What You Can Expect in Couples Counseling

  • A clearer understanding of the cycle keeping you stuck

  • Support identifying how your past shows up in your present

  • Help taking individual responsibility without falling into blame

  • New skills for managing conflict, communicating clearly, and reconnecting intimately

  • Weekly sessions and between-session assignments to accelerate your progress

I work best with couples who want to grow, not just repair damage.
My favorite clients are willing to reflect, take ownership, and show up, even when it’s uncomfortable.

  • Frequent arguments (or complete emotional shutdown)

  • Walking on eggshells and not feeling like you can be really honest with your partner

  • Desire discrepancies or sexual disconnect

  • Differences in parenting, energy levels, or money habits

  • Religious or faith transitions within the relationship

  • Feeling more like co-parents or business partners than lovers

  • A general loss of connection, affection, or fun

If any of that sounds familiar, you're in the right place.

Couples Counseling Can Help If You're Struggling With:

Online or In-Person Couples Counseling - Wherever You Are, I'm Here

Cozy living room with a beige sofa, colorful pillows, a leather chair, wooden coffee table, wall art, plant, and large window with blinds.

You can work with me in the way that fits your life best.

I see couples in person at my private office in Centennial, Colorado, just outside of Denver. Whether you’re driving in from Parker, Highlands Ranch, Littleton, or anywhere in the south Denver metro area, you’ll find a warm, comfortable space designed to feel safe and welcoming, not sterile or clinical.

If in-person couples therapy isn’t realistic for your schedule or location, I offer secure, HIPAA-compliant online counseling for couples across Colorado, Texas, Utah, and Washington. Whether you’re in Denver, Austin, Salt Lake City, Seattle, or a smaller town, you can access specialized couples counseling without the commute.

Online therapy is just as effective as in-person work and sometimes even more convenient for busy couples juggling careers, kids, and chaos. All you need is a good internet connection, a private space, and a willingness to show up.

No matter how we meet, the work is the same: real conversations, helpful tools, and a path forward.
