Welcome to Revive Relationship Counseling
At Revive, we believe relationships are worth fighting for, but you shouldn’t have to do it alone. Whether you're struggling with intimacy, communication, faith differences, or trauma from the past, we’re here to walk alongside you with compassion and clarity.
Our mission is simple but powerful:
To help people create emotionally and sexually healthy relationships by untangling the shame, cultural pressures, and past pain that often get in the way. We believe healing happens when you’re allowed to show up as your full self—in your values, your body, and your story.
Using the tools of therapy and education, we support individuals and couples in reconnecting to what matters most: secure love, honest communication, and embodied intimacy.
“You’re not asking for too much. You just want a relationship that feels connected again, and I believe that’s possible.”
Meet Marina Stanton, LMFT, CST
Founder of Revive Relationship Counseling
Marina Stanton is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist who specializes in helping couples reconnect emotionally and sexually.
Marina is known for her direct, compassionate style and for helping clients move beyond surface-level solutions to get to the root of what's keeping them stuck. Whether she’s working with couples who feel more like roommates than partners, or individuals wrestling with desire, shame, or faith transitions, Marina creates a space that is both deeply respectful and refreshingly honest.
She uses the Developmental Model of Couple Therapy to help clients build emotional maturity and strengthen connection—even when things feel tense or uncertain. Her sessions often include clear visuals, powerful analogies, and actionable tools that bring clarity and momentum between sessions. Clients appreciate her ability to blend humor and challenge in ways that keep the work grounded and growth-oriented.
Her personal experiences, including navigating her own early struggles with intimacy, fuel her commitment to being the kind of therapist she wishes she’d had: real, relational, and relentlessly invested in her clients’ growth.
Meet Andrea Madsen, LPCC
Warm. Grounded. Practical. Andrea brings a deeply compassionate and collaborative presence to the therapy room. She’s a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) in Colorado and is also licensed for telehealth in Idaho.
Andrea works with individuals and couples navigating anxiety, depression, divorce, co-parenting, grief, addiction, and relationship stress. She’s especially passionate about helping people strengthen communication, rebuild trust, and move through hard seasons with courage.
Her approach blends evidence-based methods like CBT, DBT, EFT, Gottman Method, RLT, ACT, and Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART)—but always with a personal touch. Clients appreciate her calming energy, direct insight, and the way she helps them connect the dots between patterns and possibilities.
Andrea has two master’s degrees in education and counseling, and for over 13 years, she taught developmental psychology at the university level. As a mother of three grown children and a wife of 32 years, she brings real-life wisdom to the therapy process and deeply understands the ups and downs of long-term relationships.
I believe healing happens in connection—with yourself and with others. My goal is to help you feel seen, supported, and empowered to move forward with clarity and confidence.
Who We Work Best With
We work best with individuals and couples who are ready to show up with honesty and intention. Whether you're coming in alone or with a partner, you’re curious about how your past experiences shape your current patterns, and you’re open to exploring the deeper layers of connection, intimacy, and communication.
Our clients aren’t looking for surface-level fixes. They want real change. They’re willing to reflect, take ownership, and do the work not just in session, but between sessions, too.
You don’t have to be in a crisis to start therapy. Many of the people we work with are functioning just fine on the outside, but internally, they know something’s missing. They’re here because they care enough to want something better.
Our Approach to Sex and Relationship Counseling
We’re not here to just nod and take notes. At Revive Relationship Counseling, we go deeper than surface-level advice. Whether you're working with us individually or as a couple, our approach is active, collaborative, and focused on real, lasting change.
We look at the whole picture: your current relationship dynamics and the past experiences that shaped them. We draw from evidence-based models like the Developmental Model of Couple Therapy, the Gottman Method, EFT, RLT, and more. But we don’t do cookie-cutter therapy. Everything we offer is tailored to you.
We’ll challenge you with care. We’ll laugh sometimes. And we’ll give you tools you can actually use outside of session, because growth doesn’t just happen on the couch.
This isn’t passive therapy. It’s the kind of work that helps you change, heal, and ultimately revive your relationships.
