About Revive: Your Denver-based Couples Counseling and Sex Therapy Team

Specialized relationship and sex therapy for couples who want depth, clarity, and real change.

If you feel stuck in painful patterns, disconnected from each other, or unsure how to talk about intimacy without it turning into conflict, you’re not alone.

Welcome to Revive Relationship Counseling

At Revive, we believe relationships are worth fighting for, but you shouldn’t have to do it alone. Whether you're struggling with intimacy, communication, faith differences, or trauma from the past, we’re here to walk alongside you with compassion and clarity.

Our mission is simple but powerful:
To help people create emotionally and sexually healthy relationships by untangling the shame, cultural pressures, and past pain that often get in the way. We believe healing happens when you’re allowed to show up as your full self—in your values, your body, and your story.

Using the tools of therapy and education, we support individuals and couples in reconnecting to what matters most: secure love, honest communication, and embodied intimacy.

Where can we work together?

We are licensed to provide sex therapy, marriage counseling, and online therapy in several states. Click on the state you reside in to find out more about how we can serve you online or in-person.

“You’re not asking for too much. You just want a relationship that feels connected again, and I believe that’s possible.”

Meet Marina Stanton, LMFT, CST

Founder of Revive Relationship Counseling

Marina Stanton is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) and AASECT-Certified Sex Therapist who specializes in Gottman-informed relationship counseling and sex therapy for couples seeking deeper emotional and sexual connection.

Marina is known for her direct, compassionate style and for helping clients move beyond surface-level solutions to create meaningful, lasting change. Whether she’s working with couples who feel more like roommates than partners, or individuals wrestling with desire, shame, or faith transitions, Marina creates a space that is both deeply respectful and refreshingly honest. Her approach balances practical relationship tools with deeper emotional work that helps clients better understand themselves and each other.

She integrates Gottman - informed approaches and the Developmental Model of Couple Therapy to help clients strengthen communication, build emotional maturity, and create deeper connection, even when things feel tense or uncertain. Her sessions often include practical tools, clear visuals, powerful analogies, and actionable insights that bring clarity and momentum between sessions. Clients appreciate her ability to blend humor and challenge in ways that keep the work grounded and growth-oriented.

Her personal experiences, including navigating her own early struggles with intimacy, fuel her commitment to being the kind of therapist she wishes she’d had: real, relational, and relentlessly invested in her clients’ growth.

Our Approach to Sex and Relationship Counseling

We’re not here to just nod and take notes. At Revive Relationship Counseling, we go deeper than surface-level advice. Whether you're working with us individually or as a couple, our approach is active, collaborative, and focused on meaningful, lasting change.

We look at the whole picture: your current relationship dynamics and the experiences that shaped them. Our work integrates evidence-based approaches including Gottman-informed couples therapy, the Developmental Model of Couple Therapy, EFT, RLT, and more. But we don’t believe in cookie-cutter therapy. Everything we offer is tailored to your relationship, personalities, and goals.

We’ll challenge you with care. We’ll laugh sometimes. And we’ll give you practical tools you can actually use outside of session, because growth doesn’t just happen in the therapy room.

This isn’t passive therapy. It’s the kind of work that helps you build stronger communication, deeper connection, and relationships that feel more honest, secure, and sustainable.

Who We Work Best With

We work best with individuals and couples who are ready to show up with honesty and intention. Whether you're coming in alone or with a partner, you’re curious about how your past experiences shape your current patterns, and you’re open to exploring the deeper layers of connection, intimacy, and communication.

Our clients aren’t looking for surface-level fixes. They want real change. They’re willing to reflect, take ownership, and do the work not just in session, but between sessions, too.

You don’t have to be in a crisis to start therapy. Many of the people we work with are functioning just fine on the outside, but internally, they know something’s missing. They’re here because they care enough to want something better.
